About Us
D. M. Martin LLC is a family-owned and operated farm equipment manufacturer located in Lancaster County, PA. As third-generation custom operators, we began fabricating forage carts in 2006 to support our own custom forage harvesting business—driven by the need for more dependable, longer-lasting forage boxes than what was available at the time. The robust, simple design appealed to other custom operators and farmers, so in 2014, we began producing units by customer request.
In 2018, we built our first hay merger to meet the need for an economical merger in our custom harvesting business. Because of the high interest from our forage cart customers, we built several more mergers for extensive testing during the 2019 season. That same year, we transitioned from direct customer sales to a dealer network to better service our growing customer base over the long term. After two more years of testing, we officially made our hay mergers available through our dealers in 2021.
We attribute our ability to innovate and continuously improve our products to the hands-on experience of many team members who operate and maintain the products we build for our custom harvesting business. This puts us in a unique position to truly understand and anticipate the needs of the end user, as we are fully aware of the demanding conditions our customers face every day.
